WXTide32 Toolbox Essentials

• PrintFile  FREE n-up (2+ logical per physical pages) print format program. Many options to save paper (and trees).
• LCC-Win32  FREE "C" programming development system with full featured IDE, a good debugger and a full set of development tools. Makes highly optimized code: WXTide32.EXE went from 346K with Watcom to 158K with LCC!
• CS-RCS  FREE revision control system that integrates the GNU RCS system with Windows. I use CS-RCS for all my projects.
• Inf-Tool  Install program generator used by WXTide32. Makes tiny (<38k!) unzip/install programs. $59USD/FREE lite version.
• MultiEdit  A little expensive ($129 USD) but this is the only editor I use for ALL my projects from web updates to programming.
• Total Commander  ($32USD) An excellent file manager with integrated FTP and zip/unzip support. This is my second most-used tool after MultiEdit.
• MASM32  FREE Ever wanted to try assembly language? Well, this site has everything from programs to tutorials to sample code.
• Across Lite  FREE crossword puzzle software. Daily and weekly crosswords can be downloaded from lots of sites. The best links site I have found is Will Johnson's puzzle pointers site.
• Word Web  FREE dictionary and thesaurus program.
• Pricelessware  The best of the best in Windows Freeware as determined by the readers of alt.comp.freeware
• MyDomain.com  FREE domain management tools including URL and email forwarding. I have been using their services for several years and highly recommend them.

• cTide  FREE tide program for the PocketPC. If you want WXTide32 functionality on your PocketPC you really should try this!
• AutoTide  Produce your own tide tables and tide graphs. Calculate passage times. Work out how much anchor chain is needed for mooring.
• Calcmar  Psion software for tide prediction, works until 2037.
• Current Master  A software utility for boaters, divers, kayakers, canoeists, fishers, and all other mariners. It offers instant current and tide prediction for the entire Pacific Coast of North America.
• Eldridge TideWare  Real-time tide, current and coastal software, free trial download.
• Harbor Master  Real time tides and currents for MAC and Windows.
• NAOTIDE  Unix source code for tide prediction. New releases with bug fixes.
• Nautical Psion Web site  Just what the name says it is.
• Navigate  Navigational software for PSION.
• Neptune Tide Tables for Windows  This is full-featured tide prediction software from Lightmaster Software.
• Oceanus  BARCAWIN, for Win95-98. Tide and ecology software.
• POLTIPS  POLTIPS for Windows is available with many enhanced features. The program will run on Windows 3.1, Windows 95/98 or Windows NT.
• Psaros  A program which has been created to allow the prediction of tides using the harmonic method. The program is designed for use on the Psion Series 3a and 3c handheld computers.
• SEE-TIDES  Dedicated to the science of catching fish. (piscatology)
• Tide Finder TF-20  Franklin Weather Instruments, including a hand-held tidal prediction computer.
• Tide Models for TOPEX/POSEIDON altimeter analysis  Scientific tidal models.
• Tide Plotter  Tide tables, tide graphs, tide height finder and a host of tidal information available on the  Belfield Software website.  Includes Tide Plotter 2001
• Tide Predictor  Freeware for win95.  Website author claims it is still in development.
• Tide Tool  Freeware for tidal prediction utilizing the Palm. ZDnet top pick.
• Tide98  TIDE98 is a freeware for 3a and 3c Psion models.
• TideComp  Windows 95, 98, NT or 2000. Full featured software for tide prediction, daylight/dark and much more.
• Tides  Online, free to use, they even have recorded "tide" sounds.
• Tides  This is the 4.5 version of the TIDES software.  Shareware.

• TIDEtrak  Windows and Windows95 based Simple Harmonic Tidal Calculator. Will run on virtually any PC capable of using Windows (32 Bit version requires Windows95).
• Tides & Currents  Features event search so you can input the times and conditions you'd like for your next outing.
• TideWin  From Ed Roy.  Trial download is available.
• World Tide, Tide Rise & Fall, and Tide Ebb & Flood  Industrial grade tide software since 1984.
• XTide  Written by Dave Flater, this is the original UNIX program which WXTide32 and several other tide programs are based. This web site has a great tutorial.

 

Online tide predictors

• Calcul de la Maree  Offers a three day tide prediction and you can enter a date for any past information. This one is in French so use AltaVista Translation.
• Daily Tide & Current Predictions  2 day window for US, Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Central America, & northern South America.
• Dr Dan's Fish & Game Predictions  Uses sun, moon, and tide predictions to determine the best times to go hunting and fishing. Includes Loran-GPS conversions.
• HarborTides  Fast free and accurate tide information, now includes 2000 and 2001 tide data.
• Make a Tide Prediction  This system will allow you to calculate tidal predictions for more than 3000 tide stations predicted by NOA CO-OPS.
• Tide predictions  Predict tides in thousands of locations around the world for up to 30 days in the future.
• Tide Predictor  Submit and create your own plot for tide predictions.
• Tides Online  Design your own tide tables, membership is free.
• UT1 Tidal Time Series Generator/Predictor  This facility, created by the IERS GGFC Special Bureau for Tides, allows users to predict tidal variations in UT1 based on the harmonic constants of 8 short-period (diurnal and semidiurnal) tidal constituents.
